I’m introducing myself today, but you’ll remember me tomorrow.
I agree it’s a rock-strewn walk
And nobody will be there to talk.
Nobody will share the wound when I fall
Nobody to applaud when I stand tall.
Yet, I’ll keep walking in this dark sight
Even if it’s a little chilly at night.
I will make my path as I go
Despite it being, a tough row to hoe.
I’ll dream each night and fight every morning
This is just plain news and not a warning.
I’ll work today, tomorrow and day after too
I’ll work until there’s no work left for me to do.
I’ll work till I either forget or find myself
I’ll work till I no longer have to introduce myself.
