Half Empty Or Half Full?

I keep asking them to look at the brighter side.

Whether it’s half empty or half filled

Whether it’s half water and half ice, completely chilled.

Whether it’s sand and it’s salt too

Whether it’s half mine and half yours too.

How does one judge what is better?

Maybe this mine, that yours, for both is better.

That’s exactly how life behaves

Both sides of the yards it accordingly paves.

Maybe in their opinion half empty is just what they need

And I can fill my glass again right? If I really need?

To look from their eyes is what I can’t do

But, today I feel both half empty and half full are the best and it’s true.
